FCA in Greenville has kept the tradition of leading every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus and His church since the late 1950s. Then, the late Coach Bill Phillips started the first FCA Chapters in Greenville at Greenville High and Wade Hampton High.
Since that time, Greenville County has grown immensely and FCA has had to keep pace. The County now has fifty-four (54) collegiate, high school and middle school campuses with athletics, involving an estimated 1300 coaches and over 13,000 athletes. When factoring in recreation, church, Salvation Army, YMCA and club/travel teams, there are estimates that as many as 50,000 coaches and athletes of all ages and skill levels reside in the county. Factor in that Greenville County is one of the fastest growing in the country, and you have a challenge that only God leads us in reaching.
From our downtown urban campuses to the rural campuses of the Blue Ridge, Fountain Inn, and Woodmont communities, to the fields and courts of our recreation departments, FCA’s mission remains and the opportunity has never been more significant. The time is NOW for you to stand and walk and run beside us and to PRAY for Team FCA in your community. We need your financial support and your expertise in volunteering to help us reach the youth and coaches in the Greenville area for Jesus.
