Upstate South Carolina FCA

Dana Jenkins

Area Director

Meet Dana Jenkins

There are two places to look for Upstate FCA Director Dana Jenkins. One is on a softball field, where she has basically lived since handling shortstop as a four-year starter at Furman University. The second? Good luck. The woman never stops moving. If she’s not meeting with coaches and players of all sports across the Upstate, she’s getting together with business leaders to ensure they are personally, spiritually and financially aligned with the mission of FCA. It’s a job built for multiple people but her energy, faith and passion drives her to be one of the most recognizable FCA representatives in the Southeast.

Dana grew up in the Atlanta area but began her involvement in sports-related ministries in the Upstate while a member of Furman University’s FCA chapter and traveled with Athletes in Action to Venezuela in 1995. A four-year starter at shortstop for Furman where she helped her team win two conference championships, she went on to serve as softball coach at Campbell University while earning her Master’s in Education. She also was an assistant coach for two years at UNC Charlotte before landing the head coaching position at Furman, where she stayed for nine years, leading the school to a conference championship in 2007 and its first regional championship appearance.

From Furman, Dana felt a calling from God to move into full-time ministry and work in the FCA Softball coaches ministry. She now oversees all FCA activities in the Upstate after being named FCA Area Director for the Upstate in June of 2022.
